Quantity Surveyors and associated industry professionals such as Architects, Engineers and Contractor Firms, are being drawn to this method of working due to the practical efficiencies and integrated processes. BIM, or Building Information Modelling, describes the process of collaboratively designing and building, using one coherent system of computer models rather than as separate sets of drawings. Building information models can be used to support decision making by individuals, businesses and government agencies who plan, design, construct, operate and maintain physical infrastructure developments.
