The Benowa Village neighbourhood shopping centre development comprises a Coles’ supermarket with an attached 1,400 square metre of specialty retail and a further 225 square metre of specialty retail within a stand alone precinct. The development includes a Coles Express service station and a McDonalds with additional deceleration and acceleration lanes for customer convenience.
GRC provided budget estimates for numerous design schemes as well as budget control throughout the pre contract phase. Tender results revealed that our budget for the final design was accurate. We overcame a number of cost challenges that arose during the development application process due to complex traffic conditions in and around the development site. We also helped the project manager to assess and recommend periodic progress claims and variations to deliver a fair and reasonable outcome. We continue to work with Coles on other developments throughout Queensland.
