Gateway Upgrade North

The Gateway Motorway North between Nudgee and Deagon is a four-lane motorway providing a critical transport corridor for more than 83,000 vehicles each day. It also services the Brisbane Airport, Port of Brisbane and the Australia TradeCoast precinct.

The Gateway Upgrade North project includes widening 11.3 kilometers of road from four to six lanes between Nudgee and Deagon and improving safety and congestion for more than 80,000 daily motorists.

The project scope includes constructing an off-road cycle and pedestrian facility along the entire length of the project, a new northbound bridge over Sandgate Road, rehabilitation of the Gateway Motorway between Bracken Ridge and the Bruce Highway and modifications to the Bicentennial Road interchange.

A design and construct contract, Gateway Upgrade North is expected to be completed in late 2018. GRC is delivering detailed measurement, design cost management and cost planning services to Lendlease.
