The $550 million Southbank Institute of TAFE redevelopment was Queensland’s first Public Private Partnership (PPP). The AXIOM Education Queensland Consortium (ABN Amro, John Holland and Spotless) was selected to redevelop and manage the new Southbank Education and Training Precinct.

GRC was appointed by Spotless to be the auditing surveyor on this project. In particular, the PPP consortium sought our team’s specialist knowledge of TAFE CAPEX and OPEX methodologies.  

Key project challenges included establishing a reliable financial and physical asset and facility management plan to cover all aspects of CAPEX and OPEX. The resultant plan delivers independent and reliable long-term financial planning for the PPP. We continue to work with the PPP consortium on this project.
