Atlas, South Brisbane, boasts two residential towers housing more than 200 one, two and three bedroom apartments and four penthouses. GRC was appointed by Long Ze International Development Group to provide a pre-tender estimate, which revealed the initial project design was over budget.
We subsequently ran several value management sessions, with all project consultants, to reduce project cost while maintaining quality. This involved running alternative scenarios around the material selection and building design, which successfully reduced project cost by 7.5%. We also assisted with design management to ensure savings were reflected in the consultants’ documents prior to tender.
