The finishing touches to Metro Development’s Newstead Towers project are being finalised as residents and tenants pack their bags ready to move in this month.

Metro General Manager Sales and Marketing Peter Hobbs said in domain.com.au Newstead Towers was a record seller at the time it was released to market, with investors making up more than 80 per cent of buyers.

“Rental inquiries have already been very strong with more than 260 inquiries received so far — the facilities on offer at Newstead Towers and its proximity to Gasworks have proved very popular with young professionals,” he said.

The towers, comprising 314 apartments above a four-level podium, are in the centre of the Gasworks district with apartments overlooking the iconic Gasometer and the evolving skyline. The towers boast sub-tropical landscaping, vertical gardens and an exclusive man-made beach complete with beach side teppanyaki bar.

Appointed by Metro Development, GRC provided a range of cost planning and post contract services, helping to keep the project within budget without compromising the towers’ unique, high-quality finished and facilities.
